Hair care
Hair care helps in maintaining good hair health and prevent damage. Hair care is basically ensuring your hair look its best.
Cleansing:
Shampoo hair regularly to remove oil dirt and other pollutants from hair. Use shampoo according to hair type whether it’s dry, oily, straight and curly. Do not wash hair daily, daily hair wash can damage natural oils in hair and make scalp dry. Normal hair needs to wash twice a week, this frequency also depend on your hair type oily hair might need to wash after one day.
Conditioning:
Use conditioner after every wash. Conditioners are typically used for ends or length of hair. Avoid applying conditioners on scalps, conditioner replenish moisture and make hair smooth. For extra nourishment use deep conditioners or hair mask once or twice a week. Conditioning is especially beneficial for dry and rough hair as it lock moisture in hair. Focus on ends of hair which are typically drier and damage.
Detangling:
Use wide-tooth or wooden comb to gently comb your hair. Start brushing from the end and then from top it prevent breakage and reduce hair fall. Brushing too hard or using fine-tooth comb can damage hair and trigger hair fall that can leads to the hair damage. Avoid sharing comb with others, dead particles of other person’s hair can stuck in comb which cause damage, also avoid brushing too much wet hair.
Styling:
Avoid using heating tools too much like blow dryer, flat iron and curling irons, always apply heat protecting spray or moose before using any heating tool. Excessive use of heating tools makes hair dry and rough. Heatless curls or straightening also encourage. Gently style your hair avoid hairstyles such as tight ponytails, braids to buns. Avoid using gel and wax sticks, use very less amount of setting sprays to gently set your hair.
Scalp care:
Scalp is the foundation to healthy hair proper scalp care can avoid issues like dandruff, itching and even hair loss. Use right shampoo to regular wash your hair. For dry scalp use moisturizing sulfate –free shampoo and for oily scalp use clarifying shampoo. Use gentle exfoliator which can prevent clogged hair follicle. Message your scalp regularly before bed, it improve blood circulation which provide good environment for hair growth. Avoid harsh chemicals and reduce harsh chemical treatments like relaxers, perms.
Prevention measures:
Prevention measures helps a lot to maintain good hair health and to provide good environment for hair growth. Take protein treatment once in 6 months for making hair shiny and healthy. Use DIY hair mask to maintain hair health, such as egg yolk. Mix Coconut oil with aloe vera gel, curry leaves and cloves and heat this oil for 10 minutes. Let this mixture be cool and ten apply. It helps to improve growth and make your hair shinny. Always try to tie your hair in loose braids and avoid tight hairstyles.
